Refund policy

Returns for items purchased through our online store:

For items sold from our on-line store within the European Union we have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.  Refer to exceptions/ non-returnable items below.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you must contact us at dekastudiofinland(at)gmail.com. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you instructions. The customer must deliver the item back to us within 7 days of our instructions. Return delivery costs are at the customer's expense. We will provide a refund of the purchase price of the item or provide store credit for same amount. Any delivery, postage and administration costs will be deducted from the refund. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 7 days of us receiving the returned goods. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Made to order furniture and accessories cannot be returned for a refund.
Certain other types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders, custom made orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Non-returnable items are: Ready made items purchased in our physical store, at our physical sales events and fairs, and made-to-order items purchased either in our physical store or from our online store:

For all purchases made within our physical store, at our physical sales events and fairs, and for made-to-order items purchased either in our physical store or our online store we do not provide refunds, exchanges or credits unless the item is faulty or it is incorrect in size, colour, finish, material, fabric or configuration to that which was ordered by the customer. Warranty

The duration of the warranty is two (2) years and it starts from the moment of the Customer's receipt of the goods. The warranty applies if a product is deemed faulty by us. The customer must notify us at dekastudiofinland(at)gmail.com with details and photos of the fault and the invoice number of the original purchase as soon as they find a fault, so we can assess it.

For faulty items we will repair or replace the item, or provide a partial or full refund as deemed necessary by us. If a fault is deemed by us that it cannot be repaired, we will provide the customer a replacement, or a partial or full refund, as deemed by us. 

Warranty applies to manufacturing faults, structural faults and incorrect size, colour, finish, material, fabric or configuration to that which was ordered by the customer.

Warranty does not apply to
 - Further transport damage that occurred after delivery.

Damages caused by incorrect installation or modifications which the seller has not approved.
 - Customer
's own or other third-party materials installed/added to the product.
 - Damage caused by mis-use such as damage to legs dues to dragging furniture along the ground, or placing a chair (that is meant for interior use) outside where it is subject to rain, sun and temperature and humidity changes.

Damage caused by strong temperature changes or other exceptional conditions.
 - Changes in the product due to ageing or exposure to light.
 -
Natural changes and abnormalities occurring in solid wood, veneer, fabrics, leathers and other materials.
 - The seller cannot guarantee the sameness or permanence of the colors, grain patterns, textures and surface hardness of natural materials.
 - The seller cannot guarantee sameness in fabric batches when ordered at different times.
