Shipping policy

Shipping costs are not included in the prices for furniture and product purchases listed on this website. For small items sold through this website a shipping cost is given on checkout which is applicable only to the country specified. For items purchased on this website that do not have a price for shipping, a quotation for delivery costs will be provided on request. Payment for goods including shipping costs must be received by us before the goods are shipped.

For furniture deliveries within Helsinki and southern Finland Deka Studio will generally deliver and/or install the items ourselves. For transport outside this region we can assist the customer to arrange transport for our furniture all around Finland and Europe using third party transport companies. Transport costs vary significantly depending on your delivery postcode so please contact us directly for a quotation or estimate. Deka Studio will not take responsibility for third party transport companies, couriers or postage services organised and purchased by the customer. We will assist the customer by providing a selection of transport options but Deka Studio will not order the transport company's services, this needs to be done by the customer. If you use the shipping calculator online please use it as a guide only.

Deka Studio recommends that at the time of ordering the customer takes out insurance against loss or damage during shipment. This type of insurance is not expensive in relation to the investment in one of our furniture pieces.

The customer accepts that they are liable for payment of all delivery charges, including any additional charges incurred as a result of difficulties with access during delivery or return of couriered or posted items due to non-delivery. The customer must ensure correct delivery address details are provided to us and for furniture delivery they must notify us in advance if there will be difficulties accessing the delivery address eg stairs, as this will affect delivery prices.

Products will only be delivered if a person is able to accept delivery is at the delivery address. Should an appropriate person not be available to accept delivery on the pre-arranged delivery date, the customer will be charged for any transport and re-delivery costs. The customer is responsible for ensuring there is adequate access and entry to the site to allow the delivery of the products. If delivery cannot be made, the customer will need to arrange, at their own expense, an alternative time with the transport company for re-delivery.
